Hey y’all!

It’s only been like a week since I wrote about my February training, and in about four days I’ll be sitting down to write about my March training, but I have some exciting stuff and things that I want to share with you guys.

If you follow my Instagram (you should)  you probably already know this, BUT I want to do a “formal” announcement here as well, because why not?

Brand Ambassador Boi

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been fortunate enough to be selected to represent three brands as a part of their ambassador programs! I feel super lucky and I’m incredibly thankful that they’re each helping me out and trusting me to be a representation of their individual brands.

So what companies are we talking about here?

Glad you asked.

Let’s start with ALL-SZN.

ALL-SZN is a newer Canadian clothing company and a branch off of Wyld Supply Co. As you probably gleaned from their name, they believe in getting out there and getting it done, regardless of the weather.

If you followed my Instagram (again, you should) at all over the past couple of months, you probably know that I’m not afraid of a little cold, snow, rain, slush…

Exhibit A:

It’s great representing a brand with shared ethos, and I look forward to seeing where they go in the future.

Here’s me rockin’ their ALL-SZN Runner long sleeve on some hill repeats the other day.

Next up: goodr sunglasses.

Okay, this one had me cheesin’ a little bit.

I’m a big fan of goodr. Their marketing is hilarious, and I think their self proclaimed “reckless commitment to fun” is FANTASTIC. The killer shades are just the icing on the cake.

Needless to say I was super stoked to become a part of the Flamboyance. Also did you know “flamboyance” is the name given to a group of flamingos? That’s pretty neat.

But on the real, goodr has some great (and affordable) sunglasses.

When I started training for my first marathon last year, I had a hard time finding a pair of shades that were comfortable, looked good, and wouldn’t fog up and/or fall off my face.

goodr checked all of those boxes, with the added bonus of being polarized and, I say again, AFFORDABLE. Broke millennials rejoice.

Here are the Whiskey Shots With Satan (my personal fav) in action during last year’s Eau Claire Marathon:

Check out all of their dope styles here.

Finally let’s talk about Honey Stinger.

I was SUPER stoked and surprised on this one.

Running stupidly long distances requires you to take in a pretty decent amount of calories before, after and DURING your activity. This can be challenging for a lot of folks, including myself.

hive_logo_web_newI tried some Honey Stinger products on a whim last year and fell in love, specifically with their organic energy gels. Soon after, their waffles… The waffles are great.

Honey Stinger products are made with real, organic ingredients. That makes a difference. When I was on the hunt for my first marathon’s nutrition, I found that other energy gels full of processed garbage didn’t sit super well in my stomach. In fact, I found out the fuel I ended up choosing didn’t sit super well in my stomach mid-race.

Now that I’ve been using Honey Stinger for just short of a year, I’ve had minimal stomach issues on my long days, and have been able to perform better for longer. I’m incredibly excited to be a part of The Hive.

I know these may be “small things” but I’m really excited. I’m thankful that companies I actually use and share ideologies with were willing to take a chance on me and trust me to represent their brand. It’s a pretty cool feeling.

That’s all I have for you all right now, tune in early next week for my March training wrap up and the following week for an #EverySingleStreetEC update. I promise I’m going to be better about writing, even if my posts are just short updates on my life.

As usual make sure to follow my Instagram and Twitter, and if you want real-time updates on my training, make sure you follow me on Strava with the link below.
